KLR School of Real Estate – Refund and General Policy
Section 1: Refund Policy
- Refund Within 24 Hours: Students may request a full refund within 24 hours from the commencement of their first Livestream or Classroom course. Refund requests must be in writing and submitted to the school administrator. (*Note:* Physical textbooks, manuals, and shipping charges are non-refundable.)
- Course Swap Option: If a student no longer qualifies for a refund, they may elect to swap to a self-paced online course, subject to approval.
- Attendance Requirements: Students must attend scheduled Livestream and Classroom sessions. Failure to attend disqualifies the student from a refund.
- Course Completion:** Once a course, membership, or package has been completed or at least one for-credit course within it has been completed, no refunds are available.
Section 2: Partnerships and Third-Party Vendors
- The KLR has a partnership with The CESHOP for online self-paced classes. Refunds or credits are not available for classes paid through The CEShop, but KLR School of Real Estate will provide support as needed.
Section 3: Product Return and Responsibility
- Return of Unopened Items: Items such as apparel, snacks, books, and calculators must be unopened/unused for a refund. A receipt must be presented.
- Allergic Reactions: KLR is not liable for allergic reactions to purchased items. It is the student’s duty to inquire about potential allergens.
Section 4: Transfer, Audit, and Enrollment Policies
- Transferring Between Courses: Specific fees apply for transferring between classroom and online courses, depending on course selection. Administrative approval is required.
- Online Audit of Classroom Courses: Opportunity to audit in-person classroom courses if enrolled online, subject to availability. Call ahead to ensure space.
- Shipping Policy: Course materials will be shipped within 7 business days of registration. Additional charges may apply outside the Continental U.S.
Section 5: Payment, Discounts, and Fees
- Payment Details: Tuition must be paid before the start of any class. Additional material costs may be required for certain classes.
- Returned Check Fees: A service charge will be incurred for any check returned by the student’s bank.
- Discounts and Coupons: Guidelines for utilizing discounts, including pre-registration requirements and restrictions on unauthorized online coupons.
Section 6: Course Validity, Materials, and Deposits
- Tuition Validity: Specific time frames are detailed for the validity of tuition for different course types, ranging from 1 to 2 years.
- Updated Materials: Responsibility for the cost of updated course materials falls on the student.
- Deposit Transfers: Deposits are honored for one year and may be transferred subject to conditions.
Section 7: Special Provisions
- ID Requirements: IDs must be displayed within KLR buildings, including classes. The replacement fee for lost IDs is $15.
- -Weather and Emergency Policies: Procedures for class cancellations due to weather or emergencies.
- Cram Course Guidelines: Requirements for registering and completing cram courses.
- Other Terms and Conditions: Including rules for review students, inclement weather policy, and other miscellaneous provisions.
Section 8: Student Questions:
At KLR School of Real Estate, we’re committed to delivering our classes in an organized manner, as mandated by State regulations. Each instructor has their own approach to student inquiries, which they will clarify at the beginning of class. We’re here to guide you!
Section 9: Class Examinations:
Your integrity matters to us. Class exams must be conducted securely, in compliance with [FCC guidelines](http://www.fcc.gov/). Mobile phones or apps are not allowed during exams. Any cheating will result in dismissal without a refund, and we may notify the relevant state agency.
Section 10: Exam Review:
Our class exams are meant to gauge your readiness for the State exam. We don’t review them individually, but we trust they’ll help you gauge your progress.
Section 11: Parking:
Please be mindful of where you park and ensure your belongings are secured. Safety comes first, and we recommend the “Buddy System” when leaving, especially at night.
Section 12: Recruiting:
Recruiting must be done outside class time in accordance with FREC rules. Any noncompliance should be reported to the Commission.
Section 13: Study Aids and Products:
Your instructor may suggest optional study aids and courses to help you grow. These are designed to enhance your professional knowledge.
Section 14: Lost and Found Items:
We cannot be responsible for lost items, but we’re here to help you if you lose something. Please mark your belongings for easy identification.
Section 15: Disruptive Students:
We value a harmonious learning environment. Any disruptive students may be dismissed without a refund at the instructor’s discretion.
Section 16: Pet/Service Animal Policy:
No pets are allowed, except for Service Animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These include dogs and miniature horses trained to assist individuals with disabilities. All service animals must comply with ADA guidelines.
Section 17: Do Not Call Policy:
KLR School of Real Estate complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding telephone privacy, as outlined by the FCC and FTC. This includes but is not limited to Do-Not-Call Lists, Use of Automated Dialers, Caller ID Requirements, and Time-of-Day Restrictions. All our employees are trained to adhere to these guidelines, and we’re committed to protecting consumer privacy.
